    As the Logistics Supervisor M&M facility you will be responsbile to supervise cost effective operations of interim warehouse environment to ensure cost effective and efficient operations while also exceeding customer expectations. Also lead cross-functional change by aligning people, process and technology to efficiently support our customers and drive innovative solutions. Provide key oversight and communication regarding logistics of this operation. Provides liaison with GFS inbound logistics, 3PL company, Customers and onsite team members.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Engages and leads cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, establish requirements, develop change transition plans and implement business solutions to deliver intended results. 
    • Enforces policies and operational procedures with accordance to Gordon Food Service business practices and policies.
    • Communicates directions and information to suppliers, Chain sales, GFS leadership, and customer service teams to ensure customer expectations are met. 
    • Participates in developing productivity procedures to minimize errors in the supply chain and ensure accountability with all stakeholders, including transportation, warehouse, sales and customer service, customers, 3PL co. .
    • Plans, coordinates, and leads key initiatives for integration of operations in to new facility.
    • Performs customer site visits to ensure compliance and customer expectations are met.
    • Ensure risk management and inventory control processes are in place and adhered to.
    • Collaborates and acts as liaison between Gordon Food Service and the third party logistics company
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required experience and skills 

    • Business Management, Logistics, or related field preferred 
    • Five years of previous logistics, warehouse or transportation industry experience with strong food service knowledge with at least two years of leadership experience, preferably in the Liaison role
    • Builds relationships, network, influence and links resources to plan and execution of business practices. 
    • Good time management, administration, and organizational skills. 
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and think strategically
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to build effective professional relationships with internal and external customers
    • Strong business acumen and global thinking
    • Must have the ability to multitask and be able to work exceptional hours including evenings and weekends
