    Position Summary:

    Based out of Regina, SK.

    Reporting to the RMU Manager, the RMU District Sales Representative (DSR) is responsible for creating and maintaining positive long-term relationships with new and existing multi-unit and healthcare customers. The DSR is responsible for cold calling, networking and prospecting in their assigned territories along with developing and pursuing customer leads. The DSR also provides ongoing service to existing customers, assisting with customer requests, ensuring contract maintenance and liaising with other departments as required to ensure customer satisfaction with products and services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Presents to customers and potential customers to facilitate the buying process and promote the Organization's products and services;
    • Collaborates with other departments to meet all customer needs, participating in general sales meetings, and promotions;    
    • Keeps up to date with product offerings, market trends and customer needs. Participate in general sales training sessions and vendor/category lead presentations;
    • Collaborates with customers to solve problems, grow territory profitability and facilitate customer ordering, credit payments, and product orders;
    • Assists with sales budget forecasts and long range business planning. Establish schedules and methods for providing sales growth, identify resources needs and review needs with management;
    • Ensures that all documents (contracts, reports) and record keeping are up-to-date and accurate as well as in compliance with governmental requirements;
    • Secures new customers through targeted prospecting and cold calling following an established sales process;
    • Manage internal resources and industry knowledge to help improve customer’s operational efficiency and revenue growth;
    • Manages and document customer sales and other activity in CRM System;
    • Maintains close contact with customers to determine their needs and ensure their satisfaction;
    • Promotes new products and analyzing marketplace trends identify opportunities and enhance profitability;
    • Assists with the identification of product line targets for accounts;
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

    Education, Skills & Competencies:

    • High school diploma or general equivalent degree.
    • Experience in Sales, Marketing or other related field preferred;
    • Several years experience in food service sales or equivalent industry experience;  
    • Experience with sales negotiating principles and procedures;
    • Strong leadership skills, ability to work with a variety of people at all levels of business;
    • Personal and professional presentation skills and experience;
    • Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Google applications and spreadsheets with experience in CRM systems an asset;
    • Must have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure;
    • Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal;
    • Flexible work hours are required outside of standard business/office hours.
