    Business Analyst - Finance Department


    Position Overview


    Shares responsibility for managing the profit and loss for Divisions within Geographic Region with the Senior Leadership Team(s) (SLT).  Contributes to the overall strategic direction of the business and assumes accountability for planning and directing financial goals and initiatives.  Analyzes business performance, including sales, margin and operating expense trends and implementing plans to positively impact financial results.


    Duties and Responsibilities


    • Initiates and guides the long-range planning, capital and budgeting processes within the Division with Divisional SLT
    • Ensures financial controls to identify and monitor standards and performance
    • Conducts audits and review and investigate discrepancies to safeguard assets
    • Reviews and analyze profit model, provide input on sales contracts
    • Works with Divisional departments to solve internal challenges including improvements to customer service, efficiency and process improvements
    • Assists Divisional Senior Leadership and National Controller with projects as required
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Required Skills and Qualifications


    • Exceptional analytical skills to identify trends, analyze results, and highlight opportunities
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex reports and analysis to others
    • Exceptional leadership qualities and experiences
    • Familiarity, aptitude and enthusiasm for data warehousing and BI tools / technologies.  Experience and technical expertise in the Microsoft and Google suite applications
    • Food service or distribution industry experience a plus
    • Exceptional relationship building skills
    • Ability to thrive in an environment of change
    • A desire to learn and pursue continuous improvement
    • Degree in business, accounting, math or related. CPA designation is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business analyst in operations with multiple locations or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
    • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience is preferred
